Developed for total ease-of-use and convenience, Epson has introduced the TM-T70 – the first thermal PoS receipt printer to have front facing controls – for fast, easy transactions and enhanced customer service in retail and hospitality.

Meerbusch, February 2006. Epson now launches its fourth generation of the powerful thermal printer from the innumerable times tried and tested Epson TM-T88 range for the POS. The Epson TM-T88IV impresses in particular through high print speed and utmost reliability like its predecessor. Its ergonomic design and function have been consistently advanced. Not only does it convince with its incredibly fast graphic prints of 200 mm/s, but also makes waiting a thing of the past.

Meerbusch, December 2005. Now it is official: The multi-functional Epson IR-700 cash register and the mobile Epson TM-P60 multi-purpose printer will be awarded the iF product design award 2006. Both Epson devices competing in the ”computer“ category convinced the international design expert jury. 1,952 products from 37 countries vie for the globally recognised prize which has already been awarded since 1954 annually.

Meerbusch, January 2006. Epson further enhances the service spectrum of the mobile Epson TM-P60 thermal printer with three different devices – the receipt printer Epson TM-P60 WLAN, TM-P60 Bluetooth and the label printer TM-P60 Peeler which were launched in December 2005. Hence, the areas of application of the multi-purpose wireless printer are further extended.

The latest progeny of the highly successful Epson SR range impresses at all points of sale, be it in any specialised retail or hospitality, in boutiques or the hardware trade.

A revolutionary generation of Epson allin- oner cash registers enters the market with the Epson IR-700. At first glance, the new “cash register flagship” is characterised by its straightforward design. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that Epson has succeeded in combining maximum benefit with minimal size. The ergonomic cash register system features convenient use of all functions and options.

Epson is targeting completely new commercial and industrial colour printing sectors with the new Epson TM-C100 for paper rolls and the Epson TM-C100ASF version featuring an automatic cut sheet feeder: Series of high-quality, full-colour tickets, business cards, invitations, vouchers, coupons, gift cards, adhesive labels, store cards or price tags can be produced easily and cost-effectively using the reliable, compact ticket printers.

EPSON is launching the third generation of its unique all-in-one cash register system – the IR-320 in May 2003. The IR-320 differs from its predecessor, the IR-310, chiefly in that it boasts a faster processor, greater memory capacity and a new mainboard with integrated sound card.

EPSON is presenting a new member of its family of dot matrix printers at CeBIT: the TM-U220. Three different paper widths, an impressive printing speed and the simple drop-in system for inserting the paper reel all go to make the EPSON TM-U220 a strong partner at the POS.

At CeBIT 2002 EPSON will be presenting its first modular, high-end cash register system: the MR-800. The flat 12.1" touch-screen and a separate computer unit turn the new POS terminal into an extremely flexible partner for all retail segments. A powerful Intel Celeron processor, with either 733 megahertz or 1.2 gigahertz, provides the ideal prerequisites for fast, smooth cash register operation and form the basis for future applications.

EPSON is adding two new multistation POS printers to its range of cash register printers. The inkjet printers specially designed for the retail trade provide fast and economical receipt and slip printing on low-cost plain paper. With the TM-J7100, receipts can be printed in the obligatory black or with an additional colour and EPSON adds another colour-capable receipt printer to its "Colourful Solutions for Retail" initiative.

To keep pace with the constantly increasing globalisation of markets, EPSON has developed a new 2-station thermal printer especially for use at the POS in countries where fiscal cash registers are mandatory: the TM-T260F. The successor to the TM-T285, the new fiscalprinter boasts tremendous printing speed, needle-sharp print quality and maximum reliability, all of which go to make it the ideal solution for high-speed retailing in areas where fiscal cash registers are required by law, such as eastern Europe, for example.

EPSON is adding a new cash register printer to its range with the TM-T88III: the new high-speed thermal receipt printer is the successor to the powerful and popular TM-T88II. It unites all the benefits of its predecessor while at the same time greatly outspeeding it. Thanks to an internal memory with 256 KB capacity, the TM-T88III can also print company logos and special offers reliably in next to no time.

As of 1st September, ATComputers will be the new official distributor of EPSON POS products in two eastern European countries: the Slovakian and Czech Republics. On the strength of this new partnership, the EPSON Retail Systems & Devicesof EPSON is aiming to increase their market share of POS systems in both countries.

Co-operation between EPSON Deutschland GmbH and Osiatis, an international IT service company in Austria will begin on 1st September. Both of the companies want to provide their customers with maximum service. Osiatis is one of Europe’s leading companies (manufacturer independent) in the maintenance and service sector dealing with networked computer systems from different manufacturers and different brands. The co-operation with Osiatis enables EPSON to provide their customers with an on-site POS product service network throughout Austria.

With the TM-T90 and the TM-L90 EPSON proudly presents not one, but two new high-end thermal printers for the POS. Their special features are an amazingly fast printing speed, high-resolution printing quality and a wide range of applications. Whereas the TM-T90 is purely a receipt printer, the TM-L90 processes not only thermal receipt paper but also thermal labels of different size.

With the new TM-U230 kitchen printer EPSON introduces an innovative product for use in the hospitality industry. The compact dot matrix printer was specially designed for the tough conditions in restaurants and large catering kitchens. Resistant to steam and dirt, the TM-U230 guarantees perfect hygiene.

EPSON proudly presents its very latest POS printer innovation: the ink jetprinter series TM-J2000 featuring high printing speed and an easy-to-operate front-loading system. With the TM-J2100, the days of colourless receipts are over once and for all. Apart from the obligatory black, it also prints in one extra colour.
