Düsseldorf – EPSON proudly presents its very latest POS printer innovation: the ink jetprinter series TM-J2000 featuring high printing speed and an easy-to-operate front-loading system. With the TM-J2100, the days of colourless receipts are over once and for all. Apart from the obligatory black, it also prints in one extra colour.

The two-colour printer TM-J2100 offers users the opportunity to issue receipts in either black and red, black and blue or black and green—and on low-priced ordinary or recycled paper. Thanks to its two-colour graphic printing system, the TM-J2100 makes it possible to print striking logos, special offers, advertisements or even vouchers. Really simple programming makes every receipt an eyecatcher. And colour spells yet another advantage: coloured receipts are more difficult to forge than the conventional black-and-white variety.

Forward-looking design

Compact and space-saving at the POS, that?s the TM-J2000 series from EPSON. With a space requirement of 195 x 250 millimetres, the printers fit into and fit in with every shop decor. Thanks to the shallow housing, a customer display or a card terminal can be placed on top of the TM-J2000 or the TM-J2100. This creates extra space at the POS, where every millimetre spells cash. The new POS printer series from EPSON is designed in such a way that all functions can be controlled and performed from the front. This even enables it to be installed in the cash register desk or on a shelf.

Easy handling

The unique front-loading system makes changing paper and ink cartridges so simple that even inexperienced members of staff can load the new receipt reel or ink cartridge in a matter of seconds. A new kind of drop-in method ensures that changing the paper roll in the new printer series is easier than putting a new film into a camera. Even installing a new ink cartridge, a fairly rare occurrence, is a job which involves only four steps. Additionally, there is a transparent protective surface over the rear panel of the TM-J2000/TM-J2100 into which promotion posters can be inserted for maximum effect at the point of sale.

Fast and economical

Thanks to the unique SEA-Jet® (Static Electricity Actuator Jet) technology from EPSON, the TM-J2000 and TM-J2100 are among the fastest inkjet printers for the point of sale, boasting 14.7 lines or 43 millimetres per second, even for high-resolution graphics. Only after printing 11.5 million black and 5.5 million colour characters does the dual-chamber ink cartridge of the TM-J2100 have to be replaced; that of the TM-J2000 only after an amazing 24 million characters. The 57.5 to 82.5 millimetres adjustable paper width and integrated autocutter are as versatile as the printing of receipts. With a choice of four different paper settings and two paper-cutter modes, the TM-J2000 and TM-J2100 automatically produce the desired type of receipt.

The TM-J2000 and the TM-J2100 set new standards when it comes to quality, versatility and running costs at the point of sale. In addition to the cash register printers EPSON offers its clients a new service: From April on they are able to obtain all EPSON consumer materials for the cash register printers within 24 hours via the E-Shop in the Internet (www.epson.de).
