Fast, Versatile and Ideally Equipped: the two new POS Thermal Printers from EPSON
Düsseldorf – With the TM-T90 and the TM-L90 EPSON proudly presents not one, but two new high-end thermal printers for the POS. Their special features are an amazingly fast printing speed, high-resolution printing quality and a wide range of applications. Whereas the TM-T90 is purely a receipt printer, the TM-L90 processes not only thermal receipt paper but also thermal labels of different size.
Thanks to a resolution of 180 x 180 dpi/203 x 203 dpi, complex, sharp reproductions of graphics and logos are child?s play for the new thermal printers. In addition, both print 2D barcodes with great accuracy. This type of bar code can carry considerably more information than conventional bar codes. This means the new 1-station printers from EPSON are ideally equipped today to meet the demands of tomorrow at the POS.
The use of a special grade of thermal paper which reacts to two different temperatures enables both printers to print not only in the obligatory black, but also in a second colour. The housing of the TM-T90 and TM-L90 are designed so that they can be installed standing upright, lying down or suspended on the wall, depending on the location. All cable connections are concealed within the housing. No matter how the printers are used, their high printing speed is guaranteed. With an MCBF capacity of 52 million (TM-T90) and 70 million lines (TM-L90) and the printers' energy-saving mode, the printers also stand for maximum reliability coupled with low energy costs.
The thermal printer TM-T90 achieves up to 170 millimetres per second while the label and receipt printer TM-L90 prints up to 150 millimetres per second. Both can be configured with a serial, parallel, USB or Ethernet connection.
Like all EPSON thermal printers, the two "newcomers" naturally also have an interface for the automatic opening of up to two cash drawers. And thanks to the tried and tested drop-in method, changing the paper roll is a fast and simple task. The TM-T90 and the TM-L90 both feature an integrated paper cutter which ensures a clean, quick cut at exactly the right time. A selection of optional paper widths permits great flexibility in the design of receipts and labels. As well as this, the two new high-end thermal printers are obtainable not only in EPSON cool white, but also in EPSON dark grey.
