ATComputers is the new EPSON distributor in the Slovakian and Czech Republics
Düsseldorf – As of 1st September, ATComputers will be the new official distributor of EPSON POS products in two eastern European countries: the Slovakian and Czech Republics. On the strength of this new partnership, the EPSON Retail Systems & Devicesof EPSON is aiming to increase their market share of POS systems in both countries.
ATComputers is one of the five largest IT distribution companies in the Czech Republic and is one of the leading wholesalers on the Slovakian market. The company is aiming to rank among the top three IT distributors on both markets during the course of 2001. ATComputers is the fastest-growing partner of EPSON in the Czech Republic.
The EPSON Retail Systems & Devicesof EPSON Deutschland GmbH works with a network of competent POS distributors and dealers so that customers can quickly and efficiently purchase the products they require. ATComputers has been an EPSON sub-distributor since October 2000. The company sells products to hardware dealers and value-added resellers. In addition to POS products from EPSON, its product portfolio also includes office printers and peripheral equipment plus full service for all products at all times. ATComputers not only supplies the hardware, but also reliable logistics and technical support. EPSON's partnership with ATComputers is proof positive of its faith in the quality of ATComputer's performance.
EPSON currently holds a 50 percent share of the world POS printer market. In order to achieve the same success in the POS systems business, new strategies must be introduced by the value added distributors. In cooperation with local and international system integrators EPSON hardware products will be offered as full solutions to end consumers. Additional elements of ATComputers' marketing strategy are the provision of special product training and exhibition space at its own fair stands as well as the planning of retail promotions. This programme is rounded off by an increase in the services the company provides. By cooperating with ATComputers, EPSON is gaining a competent strategic partner with which to further boost its market shares in the Slovakian and Czech Republics.
